Phase I

The Phase 1 development at Admiral Park includes a 100 bedroom Premier Inn, a 30,000 square foot 4 storey office block, multi-storey car park and a restaurant/brasserie together with access road, amenity space and infrastructure works to Elizabeth Avenue.

As project Structural & Civil Engineer CBL Consulting were responsible for the structural design and detailing of the hotel consisting of a timber frame over a steel transfer structure and the café/brasserie open plan area achieved using steel frame metal deck roofing acting as a diaphragm. Both of these buildings utilise traditional foundations constructed in vibro-stabilised ground. The 4-storey office consists of a metal deck flooring on a steel frame structure with piled foundations. The multi-storey car park was sub-contracted to a UK D+B Specialist company with CBL designing the piled foundations & RC elements.

CBL were also responsible for site-wide Civil Engineering design for foul & surface water drainage, permeable paving, retaining walls, new junction design and other infrastructure improvements along Elizabeth Avenue.
