Formerly Albion Cottage
Clifton Crest
Clifton Crest is a residential development of 4 houses in the heart of St. Peter Port with incredible sea views. CBL Consulting were appointed by Swallow Construction to act as both civil & structural engineer for this exciting project.

This is a highly challenging project on a site with access issues to replace a derelict, landlocked cottage damaged by fire in 2008 with modern quality housing, parking, gardens and ecologically friendly features.

The site slopes steeply with a substantial vertical face below down onto the top of Mill Street properties in the older section of St. Peter Port.

The new properties are two storey, recessed into the hillside with green roofs to minimise the impact onto the surrounding school, residential properties and nursing home.

A challenging build for logistics, an open sided RC box has allowed interior flexibility with a pumped foul water system and gives stunning views across the Little Russel & beyond.

Throughout the construction, maintaining access into the site and walls around the site has been the greatest challenge and required bored pile temporary works in areas with vibration monitoring.

CBL Consulting worked very closely with the Phoenix Construction Ltd. throughout the entirety of this project carrying out frequent site visits and inspections.
