MANAGING DIRECTOR
Nick Barton
C.Eng. MIStructE. MICE. ACIArb.
Nick joined Campbell and Bloese Ltd in 2006 to oversee the transition of the business. In the last eighteen years, he has been at the forefront of the business both in Guernsey and the UK.
​
Nick is a chartered Structural Engineer with a wealth of experience in the construction industry. He has professional experience in a wide range of specialist areas, including building design, industrial engineering and project management, and has advised on major construction projects in both the UK and overseas, ranging from residential developments and commercial buildings to major civic and industrial facilities.
When not running CBL, Nick can be found enjoying life with his family, Mountain biking, Taking his TVR on Track days or coaching the next Messi at Rangers Football club
Mark McKenzie
CEng. MIStructE. MICE.
Mark joined CBL Consulting in December 2007. Mark is a Chartered Structural Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has experience in building design, industrial engineering, and has advised on major construction projects in the UK, ranging from residential developments to industrial facilities and a number of major school development projects.
In his little spare time, Mark can be found being ordered around by his Wife, three daughters, and various foster children. When he does escape, Mark enjoys watching and playing rugby.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Cashel Cahill
MEng. CEng. MIStructE.
Cashel graduated from the University of Southampton in 2017 with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and has subsequently gained over six years of experience working as a Structural Engineer based in Guernsey, involved on a number of projects across the Channel Islands of varying size and complexity.
Cashel joined CBL as a Structural Engineer in August 2019, and was elected as a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in June 2023. Cashel's role involves working as part of a professional design team on large commercial and residential developments, as well as having sole responsibility for smaller projects.
In his spare time, Cashel can be found on the golf course or playing rugby for the St. Jacques Vikings.
Joel Plummer
BEng. (Hons)

Joel joined CBL Consulting in October 2015 as a Graduate Structural Engineer in the Guernsey office, after graduating from the University of Plymouth with a degree in Civil Engineering. Since then he has been a part of large on and off-island projects, and gained a vast amount of knowledge in various fields.
Out of hours, Joel skateboards, plays golf and enjoys watching Tottenham Hotspur. He also claims to make the best Bean-Jar in the Bailiwick.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Dominika Wilczewska
BSc. IEng. MICE.
Dominika came to Guernsey in 2012 and joined CBL in 2014. She has since then completed her BTEC Level 3 and Level 4 at the College of Further Education, and has built up experience on both small and large drainage projects, as well as, detailing and design for both Civil and Structural Engineering.
In her free time, Dominika can be found running, being outdoors, and constantly buying cars.

SENIOR TECHNICIAN
Stuart Ryan
Stuart has enjoyed 30 years working within Structural Engineering on projects ranging up to £150million in value. His scope of work has been across all sectors and includes retail/leisure, high rise residential, water treatment, heavy industrial, education and health. With this considerable depth of experience, Stuart has developed an ability to provide practical buildable solutions to the many complexities that occur within projects. In recent years Stuart has gained considerable experience using 3D Revit software which now provides a valuable resource to us within the BIM environment.
Stuart enjoys watching Leicester City FC, mountain biking and is a regular at Glastonbury Festival.
STRUCTURAL TECHNICIAN
Riley King
EngTech. MICE.
Riley joined CBL in July 2019 as an Apprentice Structural Technician in the Guernsey office shortly after the completion of his A-Levels. Since joining Riley has completed his apprenticeship programme in HNC Construction and The Built Environment at both levels 3 & 4 and in May 2024 passed the ICE's 'Technician Professional Review' obtaining ICE membership and becoming professionally registered with the Engineering Council..

During his time at CBL Riley has worked on and been involved in a wide variety of local projects and has vastly expanded his range of knowledge and insight within the industry.
​
In his spare time, Riley can be found inside the gym, or watching Manchester United play football.
APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN
Karl Brun
Karl joined CBL in October 2020 as an Apprentice Structural Technician in the Guernsey office shortly after the completion of his A-Levels at the Guernsey Grammar School. Karl will continue his learning in 2021 when he will begin studying Construction and The Built Environment at the Guernsey College of Further Education.

Since Karl joined the office he has worked and assisted on a number of different projects which has given him a greater insight and understanding of the construction industry.
​
In his spare time Karl can be found playing racket sports such as tennis and squash as well as dog walking across L'Ancresse Common.
SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Zivile Dailidonyte
MSc. BEng.
Zivile joined CBL Consulting's Fareham office in February 2024 as a Senior Structural Engineer. Zivile completed her MSc degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Exeter and has over six years of experience working on a variety of projects in the UK and overseas with a particular focus of healthcare and industrial buildings in more recent years.

In her spare time Zivile enjoys working out and exploring outdoors.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Dan Waddup
BEng. CEng. MIStructE.
Dan joined the Whiteley office in March 2024. Having obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, Dan then gained a range of experience from the positions of Structural Technician, Resident Engineer, and Structural Engineer at a variety of UK practices. Elected as a Chartered Structural Engineer in 2012, he has over 25 years experience in the design of refurbishment and new build projects from small scale private homes to large commercial developments.
In his free time, Dan loves being outdoors hiking, coaching kids’ rugby at his local club, and dinghy sailing in and around the Solent.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Will Lang
MSc. BEng. (Hons) GMICE.
Will joined CBL Consulting's Fareham office in 2024 having spent 2 and a half years as a Structural Engineer in the telecoms industry being involved in a number of large national projects. Previously, Will had worked in the tourism and fintech industries before completing an MSc in Structural Engineering at The University of Exeter, graduating in 2021.
Will is excited to join the team at CBL and gain experience across a wide variety of projects.
In his spare time will enjoys playing golf, kitesurfing, and watching football and rugby.
STRUCTURAL TECHNICIAN
Nicola Hodges
Nicola joined CBL Consulting in our UK office at the start of 2022 as a Senior Structural Technician. Nicola has enjoyed over 35 years working in the office drawing environment, initially starting out in Technical Publications & Navigational Charting, moving over to Structural Engineering 25 years ago. Nicola has worked on various types of projects within the industry including multiple storey timber frame buildings, large steel & concrete frame buildings and a wide range of domestic projects, always working closely with Engineers, Architects & Clients to produce the most appropriate design solution.

In her spare time Nicola enjoys playing bowls, pottering in her garden, playing with her grandchildren & watching Southampton FC.
Liz Roland
After a successful 26 year career managing child care centres across the Channel Islands, Liz came across to CBL in July 2008 to manage 'big kids'. As the office manager, Liz is the guru of all things 'officey', supporting the team with finances, stock, and the day to day running of the office.
If you have queries on bills, invoices or general administration Liz is there.
When not watching her boys playing football at Sylvans, Liz can be found busy with crafts such as cross-stitch and knitting or relaxing with a good book.
